A lucky charm for blessings and protection against evil.
This is a very special experience where you can paint and glaze your own Onifuku small bowl made using Shizuhata-yaki, a traditional craft of Shizuoka. Furthermore, we have invited Mr. Aoshima, a Shizuhata-yaki craftsman, to give a lecture and demonstration on the history of Shizuhata-yaki.
Shizuhata-yaki is a traditional craft of Shizuoka that has continued since the Edo period. Among its many products, Onifuku is particularly famous.
The demon's face symbolizes protection against evil, and the face of fortune symbolizes blessings, making it a lucky charm that has been passed down through generations.
